A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Gules, a saltire Azure (Dark Blue), overall a Roman helmet Proper.  Attached at the top and sides a tripartite Dark Blue scroll inscribed "MEETING THE CHALLENGE" in Silver letters.

Dark blue and scarlet are the colors traditionally associated with the Adjutant General’s Corps. The saltire is emblematic of its Soldiers strength on the battlefield and devotion to duty. The Roman helmet represents the unit’s participation in the Rome-Arno campaign during World War II and symbolizes the unit’s mission in preparing the soldier to “meet the challenge”.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 23 September 1987. The insignia was amended to modify the symbolism on 29 March 2023.

On a wreath of the colors Argent and Gules two Roman swords saltirewise, hilts and pommels Or, grips of the second superimposed by a mullet of the third.
